When we arrived at the Otakon meeting in a Baltimore hotel on Saturday, I learned the meeting room lacked Internet access. Only registered guests could opt to purchase it on their ( Read more... )

Thanks. That image, as you can guess, was inspired from watching my cat, Luke, move around the house during the day, following the sunbeams. When my doggie, Una, tries to lick him in the process of bedding down, he looks irritated.

The credit card button doesn't always work, even in the same chain--it really is a hotel-by-hotel thing -_-.

It's annoying. BUT I agree with you, and have survived without internet before. This is why I also sometimes have non-computer entertainment ^_^

While there was a modicum of drama at the meeting, by the end, most issues appeared to have been resolved. OK, I'm curious now...quick summary?

I tried to explain to my husband that if I'm not doing at least two things at once I feel like I'm slacking!

Fortunately, I kept productive throughout most of the meeting and didn't end up playing Solitaire until the very end. ^_^

Heh, I know at least on one occasion besides the ComCon meetings, I got stuff done for the LARP...

^_^ My problem is more I'm not used to the attention needed for the meetings yet, so I prefer to have something to distract me as well during any nitty-gritty parts, but I still try to pay overall-attention.

Btw *hugs* How're you?
