Budget Fun

Saturday was the big budget meeting for Otakon, and it was held in Philadelphia for a change, nice and close to us. We still dropped our doggie, Una, at the pet sitter for the day, where she would participate in a vertible puppy party, as the pet sitter would have seven dogs with her that day!

Also, I love deep frying things. My roommate owns one of those fryer things, and for a while we were just frying whatever we could find in the kitchen. The only bad thing about one of those is the cleanup...ugh!

I'm open to working for you again. What did you have in mind? My Mom had a Fry-Daddy, but we didn't use it much. I think it's now in a closet somewhere (she never gets rid of anything).

Good thing you didn't try to stay until the end; the pirate left to drive back home at 5:45AM. I had gone to sleep, slept all night, WOKE BACK UP FOR SUNDAY, and came back out into the living room to say high and BTW did you realize it is 5:30AM when he decided it was probably time to go home now.

This is the second time he and my husband have lost track of time talking and talked all night; the last time was after a July 4th party in 2006 at Matt's and I ended up driving over there at 5AM to see if Jon was in a ditch or something. I found them standing at the edge of the street by Jon's jeep talking. They had been talking outside since 2AM when Matt went to bed.

I like the Pirate, but I am glad he doesn't live closer. If he was a regular visitor on weekends Jon would never get any sleep.

We've had that same experience with The Pirate. Once or twice we even put him up in our guest room because we were afraid about him heading home so late!
