I agree with your scale theory. I find it so odd that I am at the lowest weight since - I honestly can't remember when - and I have a harder time finding clothes now that I'm around 157 than I did when I weighed 175... what the heck? I wish women's clothes would give hip measurements, etc. because it's really hard to find sizes. It's even worse when you try 3 exact items on - same size and everything - and they all fit differently!

Good luck!!! I'm totally here for support :-) We sound a lot alike!

According to a chart I found of women's sizes, a size 8 is as follows: Bust 35, Waist, 27, Hips 37 1/2. A size 10 is Bust 36, Waist 28, Hips 38 1/2. My proportions aren't made that way! So no matter how much weight I lost, it wouldn't change things too much. I've learned to look for clothes more flattering for my shape, such as A-line skirts and straight-leg or wide-leg pants. Still, I wouldn't mind tonig up my hips and thighs a bit!

BTW, I heard a statistic somewhere that a majority of women are actually pear-shaped. You'd think they'd change the proportions on clothing!
