I'd like to eat with you, if it's okay, Japan-san. I can help cook.

W-well, I used to live with just my dad, so I learned a little bit about cooking. And it doesn't seem fair to eat the food when I didn't help make it.

If only America-san thought of that as well..

Thank you. It has been a while since I have cooked with someone. I am slightly excited now.

Please don't leave food on the kitchen counters, Japan. It's unsanitary and allows suspicious people to poison it.

Thank you. I don't understand why or how the people in this place can so easily forgive something like those brownies.

They are also called rice cakes. It is a common food in Japan, but we eat it traditionally around New Years.

Rice cakes, America-san. The stretchy sweet food, that I usually make around this time.

You are welcome to it.

Please remember to chew and not just swallow though. It is easy to choke on them.
