Good day students. I would like to remind all that the monochrome portraits are due tomorrow before the end of class. I am quite excited to see everyone's work. They seemed to be going quite well. If you need any last minute help I will be in the classroom all day so please do not hesitate to ask questions ( Read more... )

That sounds...exciting, Pyrope-san. [ you seem to be missing a yellow there ]

May I ask why you chose to draw this piece like this?

[Amazing artist here.] I don't think I'll be taking the extra credit.

Thanks. [She grins.] It's something I'm good at, that's all. There's not much else to do at home.

[Overall Seimei is probably an average student when the subject matter doesn't bother him. Charcoal and things with too much mess are never used by him willingly. His work is hit or miss but always turned in which is probably why he's surviving this class. However this time he stares at blank sheets of paper with a great deal of irritation. He decides to ask.]

Sensei is there an alternative topic?

For the portraits or for the extra credit?

For the portraits. [Actually both but that's not the real concern.]

May I ask why you wish to do an alternative topic?

[Spencer doesn't really enjoy art per se and she's not especially close to her mother, but she loves extra credit. Thus, since her portrait was already done the day it was set, she's now working on something that will sufficiently secure her said extra credit]

[ Japan likes hard working students, even if their art turns out to be whatever. ]

I am always glad you try so hard, Hastings-san. But please do not push yourself too much.

[Spencer looks up and smiles]

Thank you, I won't.

[She probably will. It's what she does]

I will be in the classroom if you need anything. The extra credit will be valid as long as you turn it in by 11:59 PM.
