It is almost time for Setsubun, February 3rd. And then the day after that will be the first day of spring. I shall make some Ehoumaki on that day, so if anyone would like to join in on eating it, please be welcome to come to the kitchen. Well, Setsubun is a event that we used to have at the day before the change of season. But now we only have it on the day before the first day of spring. We drive the evil spirits that had accumulated throughout the season, or year, away and out of the house with the beans. Then we eat an Ehoumaki in a certain direction for good luck.

It should be since the last Setsubun I celebrated at home was east of north-east and it has been two years since then.
