all you get is blank staring at the screen for a minute or two before itty Japan sets it down on the ground and wanders off (wearing a kimono like this) to the door, which he is obviously too

[ Japan stares at the communicator for a moment, then glances back up at the door. He reaches on his tippie-toes but once that fails, he jumps and latches on to the doorknob, successfully turning it and opening it a bit.
