I've never seen an episode of Star Trek. But I kind of really want to go see the movie. I'm worried I might be really confused though

I haven't seen it yet but the movie was made so that ANYONE can see it.

I've only seen one or two episodes of Star Trek, but I just went to the movie today and it was definitely enjoyable, even without the background info. :)
