I love sketchbooks. Like, they take off a lot of pressure because if you do a sketch without references on a shaky tram or on a bus that approximately slams on the brakes five times per ride and with only two crayons at hand, it simply doesn't have to be perfect. There's no need for complicated poses if you don't feel like it when you're just
