[Needless to say, something happened to Teru. She knew A was likely to be here, or in the kitchen, but now she's found her she really isn't sure what to do.

A's absorbed in her book at the moment, and doesn't look up. Teru clears her throat, nervously.]

- we don't have to be... intimate. At all. I mean, you know I'd never - I don't want you to do anything you're not happy with.

[This is supremely awkward.]

[A smiles and laughs a little bit at how awkward this all is.]

Teru, it's ok. It's only for a few days, and besides. I like you no matter what you look like.

I suppose it is - mostly cosmetic. I... well, I feel female. But that doesn't affect my basic personality. I expect I'd be different if I'd grown up as a woman, but as it is I have all my own memories, everything's intact - [She laughs, nervously.] The biggest problem is that I don't know my one rep maximum any more.

[A laughs and grins a bit.]

It's not...well, you do look pretty...

[She's not sure how to feel about that.]

Don't worry, it's a good thing. But I may just be biased, I'd like you no matter what you looked like.

I've - never been described that way before. Well. Not in a positive sense.

[She smiles and stands up.]

I've been doing some mansion practice. Dya wanna see....?

[She smiles.] I'd love to.

Ok, I'm not very good at it yet, but I've been working on the levitation spell...

[A pulls out her wand and frowns in concentration, before muttering a few words and flicking her wrist. The magic book in front of her hovers for a few seconds before falling back on the desk with a thud.]

I can't get it to stay up for very long...

That's good, for the amount of time you've been learning. It might be easier to start with something lighter than that book.

Really? Like...what should I use instead?

Well, to begin with, probably something like a sheet of paper. You can work up from there.

Well, that makes sense. I don't know why I didn't try that before!

It's natural to start with whatever you have around you. And you wouldn't necessarily assume that the weight would matter when you're lifting something by magic.
