Private for Aftermath

Aug 23, 2008 21:46

The first thing Michael had done when he'd woke up in his own body was leave wherever he was, not even really looking and looked for someplace private. Whenever he saw someone, he turned the other direction. He felt so...dirty after being in that other body, after all the things he had done. Everything it had made him feel ( Read more... )

Guy didn't know. He hadn't had sex with Michael, he had had sex with someone whose name he had never bothered asking. So when he saw Michael coming in the direction of the cave that Anthony and he inhabited, he smiled and nodded as greeting.

When Michael saw Guy, he couldn't help a small flinch of his eyes before he finally managed a small, yet strangled smile. "Guy...I...I need to talk to you."

Guy didn't particularly like that serious tone of voice. Serious tones of voice meant serious conversations. Or perhaps something happened. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Biting his lip, Michael looked down at his feet, shuffling them almost like a small child who had done something wrong. Of course, in his mind, he had done something wrong so that analogy was good. "Umm...you know how this weekend, people switched bodies?" He couldn't out right say it, though leading up to admitting it was only putting off the evitable.

"Yes. The second weekend in a months time," Guy replied. He wondered if it said anything about the future frequency of madness.

"Yeah, that one." Michael paused to take a deep breath. He licked his lips, pausing to gather his nerves. "It got me, this time." He closed his eyes as he blurted out, "the man smoking and drinking on the beach was me."

Smoking and drinking... amongst other things. Guy thought back to it and briefly smiled. "Explains the giggle," he tried to joke. But then looked at Michael more serious and frowned. "Why?" he blurted out himself.

"The little bit of me that was able to show through." Michael answered the kidding question first, because it was easiest. He flinched at the change in Guy's voice. "I couldn't help myself. The guy I was in...wasn't much help either." He hated using the excuse of the body, but it was the truth. He hoped he never met the man.

"Well..." A small huff and a smile were indicative of what he felt; uncertain what to make or think of this.

The smile both soothed Michael's nerves...and made them worse. He thought he knew Guy enough to know which it should be, but at the moment he didn't feel he had the right too.

He sighed heavily. "I don't know what else to say...besides I'm sorry." For the sex it self or just not telling Guy who he was, that was up to Guy.

And what if he had told Guy? Would it have been any different?

"It was a bloody good fuck," Guy said bluntly, by which he meant 'don't be sorry'. "Why didn't you tell me it was you?" Had the body such influence over the mind of another?

Oddly enough, Guy's bluntness put Michael more at ease. How he found it comforting, he had no idea, but he did.

"Honestly? I didn't want to stop and it was a perfect excuse. It got harder the farther we got and..well you know." He half shrugged.

Guy did know, yes. "Sex," he half smiled. That was what it was. That was why it probably wouldn't have been different had Michael told him it was he.

"Yeah...so your okay with this? I really didn't mean for it to happen." Michael actually managed a small smile. "It was good as ever...different but good."

"It's just sex," Guy offered. Just sex with the man he claimed not to love. So instead of asking whether the other was regretting it, he shrugged. "It happens."

"Yeah...yeah." Michael said the first as if he was convincing himself, then the second had more confidence to it. Then he grinned, a very relieved grin. "Good sex."
