David Tennant and Catherine Tate reunite for Doctor Who audio adventures *Squeeeeeeeeee* !!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
He is returning! My Doctor is coming back!
By the time I joined the Doctor Who fandom, it was already over with the Tenth Doctor. The introduction, all the adventures, the regeneration, guest apperances, the 50th anniversary, I missed all this. Digging through old discussions and sites that haven't been updated for years, I always had that feeling that I was late. Too late, far too late [s]he has come. He's given a number and the world's moved on. I feel so weird calling him 'the Tenth Doctor', to me he's the Doctor, it's the others who need numbers, and with some Doctors I often go with the number only because I don't want to call them the Doctor. I accept them, I welcome them but in my heart there's only one true Doctor.
This is best news ever. It's not only a new set of the Tenth Doctor's adventures, it's the adventures happening on my watch, a whole new experience I thought I'd never get. Not in ten, fifteen years at least. And here it is!
And it's with Donna! I don't think I could be persuaded into a new companion, guest or not guest. Companions are crucial to the Tenth Doctor's story, he's not the Eleventh with centuries to fill. And Donna is exactly the companion I'd like to see again. There's nothing to add to Martha's story and Rose might say it's supposed to be her but it really isn't. After averything we've been through (if I ever meet Russell T Davies,
this is going to be me but for Journey's End), we deserve some happy moments with Donna.
The only big question is who's going to write it. I'd be thrilled if Russell T Davies took the opportunity for a little comeback but as it's very unlikely, as long as the Doctor and Donna remain in character, I'm happy with anyone. If it's bad, to me it's going to be a fanfiction read by David Tennant and Catherine Tate. The DoctorDonna, before it all got sad.
It's Christmas! :D
