Do you remember the hybrid meme from season 9? Season 10 has its own meme, The Interrupting Pope meme.
How does it work? You let the pope (I read I should write the Pope when it's a specific person but I really don't consider Joseph Long's character to be Pope Francis) interrupt a date, like this. But sometimes people are too busy to notice him, like this. Or this. Sometimes it's not a date. Sometimes he bends the laws of physics. Sometimes there's only one person, but her costume and pose is too much for him. Or he has no idea what happened. Sometimes he's as frightened as everyone around him, not that rarely, actually. Or maybe he's spying on people?
So, does the pope interrupt dates? It seems kisses between a man and a woman bother him as much as being in space. Is he confused, worried or scared? The rules aren't clear yet. One thing's certain, the world is strange outside Vatican.
I don't see anything funny about the pope in Bill's bedroom but I'm always interested in fans' activities. I just hope the meme doesn't replace David Tennant In Places He Shouldn't Be meme!
Trivia: The pope is played by Joseph Long who was in Doctor Who before. He played the Italian man who lives in the house with Donna, Wilf and Sylvia in "Turn Left". Look. I always wondered when there will be not enough actors for Doctor Who episodes and people will start coming back.
