Two years in Doctor Who fandom, that requires some answers for basic questions. I thought 30 will do but if you want to ask me anything, don't hesitate. I love talking about Doctor Who.
Not being a fan, I nevertheless admire how #1 is written. :) Including the last sentence.
Tea. But the strong stuff. Leave the bag in. Me approves. XD
the fact that their language is too primitive to be translated by the TARDIS. I would think this may only be a case when the language is too complicated rather than too simple...?

The constant fight between "I'm not going to mention how he looks in every comment, other fans already think we love him because he's handsome" vs "Nobody tells me how I can appreciate my favourite character". #DavidTennantFanProblems
I would think this may only be a case when the language is too complicated rather than too simple...?Imagine a language with one word for anything green. If someone uses it, how can you know which green object he was refering to? In this case, you can translate it into "a green object" but what if the class of the objects the word refers to can't

I'm proud to have one :) Congratulations and you're totally right to have one, because it's better than the original stuff. XD His tries of being badass are painful to watch...
In this case, you can translate it into "a green object" but what if the class of the objects the word refers to can't be defined in few words? This is a very interesting problem that deserves a longer story. :) One of these things that get most fascinating when seen in practice. Multiple times in various circumstances. Btw, this is actually what happens in real every time when "translated from" language has specific names without an umbrella term, while "translated into" language has only the latter and no concept of subclauses within it (an example from half an hour ago, when I tried to explain what jeżyny are, while everyday English apparently doesn't differ between black and red Rubus species). When the translation goes in the other way around,

How often other fans mention how their Doctors look? Never, that's the thing (which isn't surprising because, well, you've seen them). Very few comments on Matt Smith and that's it. So they make us look shallow by contrast :)
His tries of being badass are painful to watch... His motto is "cool is not cool". And I actually prefer when he fails because when he succeeds and is supposed to be cool, he still isn't ;)
Not an easy work, translating. If you write that longer story, send me a link :)
? The screwdriver doesn't lock and unlock doors made of wood and basically doesn't affect anything (like aliens) made of wood. According to Steven Moffat, wood is too primitive. Although I'm 99% sure it works for wooden things in episodes written any other author.
I absolutely loved your answers, and not just because I agree with most of them. ;) You put so much thought into why you feel the way you do, and it was wonderful to read. Thanks for posting this!
Thanks for the lovely words :) When a fictional world gives me very strong emotions, I ask myself why so I can do it again with another fictional world. Following the actors, writers and other fans' recommendation to find those worlds on the endless list of books, tv series and films is the best strategy I can think of. Also, fandom conversations don't make sense for me if you can't explain why you feel this way. "I don't like this character." "Why?" "I don't know, I just don't" "..." It doesn't lead anywhere.
(I was silently hoping someone else would want to fill the meme but judging by the comments, it only appears to work when you totally disagree with what you read ;D)
You should have your own award show or something. I was reading along nodding my head all through out. Oh, thank you ;) (Did you clap? :D) I wanted not only to say who or what, but explain why - something the award shows don't always do. Imagine someone saying "And while the Oscar goes to X, let me explain why A, B and C didn't get it." Sounds funny, but sometimes I'd really like to hear the reasons.
I simply had to mention the hair ;) It's annoying when some other fans say fans of Ten just like him because he's handsome, so I often elaborate on his story and personality just to balance the never ending comments about his physical appearance. But of course there's nothing wrong in being attracted to a character and express it among the fans - so I add to the comments as well. After all, if someone can't see how complex and fascinating Ten is as a character, it's not my problem.
I get what you mean. There should be a program that explains this about awards shows instead of the red carpet before or after parts. I don't care what the designer name of a dress is. But thats just me

I don't care what the designer name of a dress is. Me neither. But some people do, apparently, even if it's only the designers.
*is bad at multi-tasking* *but good at making up excuses* ;)
If you are going to talk about the hair, then you'll have to thank the hairstylist. Oh yes, definitely. They experimented with options, found the best one and stuck to it. *pretends Day of the Doctor never happened*
I don't know if it was the script but Eleven seem to have some memorable funny quotes. I guess he didn't have to worry about the angst that Ten had to content with. Yes, he's often funny and has few serious moments, much less than Ten. For most time, he "forgot" about what haunted Nine and Ten.
I just didn't like how Moffat makes his female character's mainly about their sexuality and the male characters dumb or just there.Don't get me started on that. I still don't know why all characters from Sherlock are different (even if Irene was a typical "Moffat woman", she sort of fitted there, to me at least, as her being very sexual was
