Hm. You know I am not the biggest fan of Sam/Castiel and Wincest mainly because it squicks me out but I must say I love the ride you took the viewer on with this story.
And I loved your use of the angel Israfael. It's always nice to read more about Castiel's angelic family. Talk about story potential. And I am glad that he helped Dean come to terms with himself and his feelings.

"You mean hard," Dean corrected, mortified and wishing like hell conversation was over, but knowing he wouldn't be so lucky.
"No. Not that. Though I have had several erections thinking about you," Cas assured him, unaware of just what that did to Dean's ability to concentrate. "Making them go away was difficult."
"Jesus," Dean muttered, and wiped a hand over his face. "Cas-"

My only real real complaint was that Dean had sex with everyone except Cas! LOL! Then again, I guess he just wasn't ready for that part yet.
I know! I felt bad about NOT giving the Dean/Castiel sex scene, I did.
But Oh no! He's ready for Cas, I just...well, I felt like to add that in to the story would be like tagging it on. The problem, throughout the story was his denial. Then, at the end, he's not denying it anymore (Cas has a hilarious way of breaking those barriers, for sure!), and he's finally ready to take his happiness where he can.

I'm a fan of Sam/Castiel, Dean/Sam, and Sam/Dean/Castiel, but for some reason, I don't dig Dean/Castiel, possibly because I haven't seen it done in a manner that didn't complete exclude/insult Sam, and I can never see Dean having happiness if Sam is miserable. So - this story didn't do that. It lived up to my expectations. It was well written and interesting and just angst-ridden enough for my liking, and I'm glad you wrote it and shared with the class. Thank you!

SAM/CAS LAP SEX HOLY SHI--GUH SSOGOODHOT. Sorry. I've been holding that in since I read the Sam/Cas shower flirting scene and then EVEN MORE from the front seat sex scene. The way you wrote their tension was so gooooood.
I also loved Fael in this story. I was hooked the second it was revealed that he was an angel. So awesome. Beautiful Dean emotions throughout the whole thing. This is an awesome fic! Thanks for doing Big Bang this year!
I really enjoyed this story. I liked Feal and it made sense to me that another angel would be doing the whole witness protection act thing and staying away from heaven. I also loved how this felt like a real case and how Dean worked through his emotions throughout the story until the very end with some help from Feal.
