There had never been anything missing when he and Jensen hooked up. Even when they didn't do anything but sit on the sofa playing Madden or Halo or, hell, goddamn Scrabble, it was perfect. But would he have considered that love, like he'd had with Gen? Not in a million years.
I'm a big believer in the fluidity of sexual preference anyway, but I think this is a much more realistic take on a relationship like this than "they're both gay, but hiding it" or "they're only gay for each other", for instance. Makes a lot of sense to me and I like the gradual way you've set up Jared working that out, here.
