My sis-in-law is somewhat along these lines: food is about the most important thing to her, especially now that she's taken up running marathons and lost 120 pounds. Yeah, I myself lost 20-25 lbs a couple years ago. I realized that it was all I talked about, all I thought about, and took up all of my time. I was happy to be a smaller size and have new clothes...but it wasn't enough. I was self-conscious about a whole new set of things. Especially that I was boring people or making them feel guilty. Sucked.
I'm trying the new thinking. When I'm tempted to eat sweets I think, "Wait, don't I love me?" and it helps. A bit. Mostly when I'm already full. ;)
