My second attempt to buy shoes for the ball didn't work either.

Instead, I managed to come home with another dress.

Which would need shoes of  totally different colour. In theory I already have the perfect shoes for this dress, except I can only find one of them.  So, I may now need to buy TWO new pairs of shoes.

Well, women in London must have learnt not to breathe!
Sorry, couldn't resist ;-)
Anyway, you have two dresses? I haven't even got one yet. I'm hopefully getting it this Sunday, though...

Originally, I wasn't gonna buy a new dress, I was gonna wear a dress I already had but barely ever wear [dress 1: knee length, strapless, bright pink]. Then I saw a dress I could not leave the shop without, and it was severely marked down, so I had to buy it. I had to. I had no choice. [dress 2: knee length, strapless, black and shimmery]. Neither of these descriptions are very helpful, but whatever. I think I'm probably gonna wear the black one. Mainly because I can't stop looking at it.

Not sure I've ever seen you in a dress [?] so quite looking forward to it. Heels as well?

Do you know about how much time there will be between the end of the afternoon and the beginning of the ball? Like, frantic changing? Leisurely changing? Enough time to change and also watch Doctor Who?

Black beats pink, any day ;-)
And yes, I am wearing heels (ouch).
As for time between end of the day and the ball - about three and a half hours, so plenty of time. It'll be kinda crowded, seeing as Bernard, Serena, Nick and Phoebe are also all apparently now changing at mine. Oh well - we can make a party out of it.
