So, I finished Mega Man 9, and I'll just say that I'm amazed. The game is just crazy awesome. I had a retro nerdgasm for a while playing it, and it feels just like MM1 and MM2

I tried my pal's Mega Man 9 for two hours and played through all the stages (with Magma Man still alive, haven't touched Wily at all) and so I can't vouch for the Wily stages ... but my main objection is that the game demonstrates a fair amount of laziness! Using Mega Man 2's menu, boss selected music, and weapon get music is absolutely lame, considering that Mega Man 1-8 don't directly rip off music from each other: any familiar themes are either arranged or remixed. Ripping off Mega Man 2's menu interface is also apparently awesome! What a way to capitalize on memories, huh

And this is what I like seeing. You took the time to play and so you have a solid basis of an idea of what the game is like through your eyes =P Just shrugging it off without playing it kinda annoys me, I guess because I waited 11 years for this and I actually like it! =)
You know, something I didn't really think about til just now.
You were talking about music and stuff from older games...
Mega Man 4 took the Mega Man 2 boss intro music, and it's been remixed numerous times since, so you can't really say that the music is stolen, since it has been reused and rehashed on several occasions =P
Otherwise, you do have valid points, but overlooking that, I still love it.
Thank you for proving my point. As I said, any familiar themes in Mega Man 1-8 are either arranged or remixed. Mega Man 4 (rearranged the Boss Select song, so why the hell couldn't Mega Man 9 even do a rearrange!! Why are these songs literally the same things from Mega Man 2!
Every purchase of Mega Man 9 is a vote supporting it. With the estimated downloads of Mega Man 9 at 140,000 as of this comment, I seriously don't think Capcom is going to want to put out a ZX 3 at this rate. I'm pretty sure they'll be more content being lazy and purposefully gimping the series when they get shitloads of money for it!
