Thanks! I tried this layout and was like, hey, it's all wintery and pretty! I only tried a couple of them and this was the first one I liked, I haven't tried any with a black background. I just can't believe I left it that blue, kind of more difficult-to-navigate style for so long.

The potential for silly humor and serious melancholy together was what made me look at the prompt and be like, oh, yes. And I'd read the Bullseye/Daken story on 4chan and it just kind of clicked together.

Your intuition is sharp, you have Daken's number. He is totally copying Logan in the most basic of ways: he's walking around wearing his outfit and pretending to be him on an all-new, kind of psychotic and/or evil Avengers team run by Norman Osborn (who's kind of nuts in his own right but managed to seize power despite that). And Daken took over his dad's book--with issue 75 Wolverine transformed into Dark WolverineDaken's delightfully fun. He's all cultured and sophisticated, but ( ... )

Wow, now you gave me really an idea of the little rascal! :D I only saw a few pictures of him and never thought the term "androgynous" would fit him. Probably I was distracted by the Mohawk, which signalises loud and clear: "Stay away from me! Better take the other side of the street." (Well, I think actually that is the reason why he wastes tons of CO2 on his haircut). Yet after all everything does make sense.
It´s so much fun to read all the thoughts and assessments behind a fic, almost like watching the "Making of" after a movie.

Anyway. Yes, Logan and Daken's relationship is my new favorite subject (just in case you couldn't tell).Who would have thought it? ;) And I can see similarities to the relationship between Logan and Victor. Because both of them include a rehersal. Normally Wolverine shows up as the one and only alpha male which is okay though sometimes a bit boring. Unthinkable anybody would ever dominate him. And here we have two characters who could (and obviously do), not only by physical power, but because they take ( ... )

Wow! Really amazing fic. I love the mature treatment of the subject matter and unsentimental yet compassionate view of the characters.

I was blown away by this on the kink meme, and I don't think I ever took the time to tell you so. You took something that could've made an amusing crack fic -- and not that there's anything wrong with that approach -- and created something with real emotional depth and tragedy. Logan's paternal love for Daken, and his desire to believe that his son is capable of SOME positive emotion is so heartbreaking that I tear up thinking about it.
