Slow and Steady wins the Race

According to the doctor's scale this morning I am down another 4 lbs. this month and my A1c is at 5.5 which is, in the doctor's words, darn good. Since my diabetes diagnosis/start of my diet in October, I am down 15 lbs. 5.5 is, indeed, very wonderful for an A1c.

Yeah! I am so proud of you!! You are doing a great job and slow and steady like that will get you there. I have found when I get my cravings (which is ice cream usually) and I give in to them I add a mile to my walk for a couple of nights and it at least makes me feel better about it. My weight loss is going slow also but this time it is staying. When I had great weight losses then I didn't do so well.

You can try the cabbage soup diet and honest you will lose about 15 pounds in a week. Of course it will go right back on...it's not a permanent loss and isn't a good way to do it but it would be something to do right before the wedding. ;)
