FAMILY PHOTO! I especially love little!Bob's red face and the way Mrs. Bryar (I swear she had a name somewhere) is holding baby!Spencer! And Trish's haircut! And how Bob is climbing all over his parents! And their clothes, the grass, the pose, everything! ♥
My favorite things about this pieceare the tiny little details like the rings and how Bob and Spencer have the same eyes and Trish's hair. And Spencer's protective hand-on-the-shoulder and ridiculous pink shirt! Brendon's nerdtacular face! And Bob's beard and lip ring and just guh. <3_<3 (I was seriously tempted to write a scene with Gerard taking their picture, but I couldn't because of deadlines.)
This is my favorite piece by far, for multiple reasons. Trish's pose is so fjsdfjdskfjd perfect. The dress is absolutely gorgeous, and so is the surprised expression on her tiny perfect faaaaaaaaaaaaaaace. And her socks! *______________*
Artist Notes: This was a bit of a challenge, in that there was a definite Before and After a traumatic event. The first picture I conceived was the Bryar Family Before (Dean and Roberta with Bobby, Trisha, and Baby Spencer). The second was the Bryar-Stumph-Smith Family After (Bob and Ray, Spencer and Brendon, and Trish). Honestly, I did try to get Gerard in there with Trish, but it didn't really work out. I like to pretend he's the one taking the picture. And the third was Trish trying on the dress she wore on her date with Gerard. The medium I used was pen and watercolor pencils. I am pretty pleased with the final results, and I hope the author likes them also (big thanks for providing me with so many pictures I asked for! It was really helpful so I could hopefully come close to how you see your characters.)!
