This is the best fanfic I've read in a while, both in terms of content and writing style. Stellar! I adore the Vinvocci, so this just made my day. Forget Sarah Jane, forget Torchwood, there needs to be some a spinoff starring DoctorDonna and the Vinvocci.

Thank you! I loved the Vinvocci. They were spiky and green and the girl was played by the actress who also plays Nina ♥ in Being Human.

Thank you! Silly and insane, that's what I aim for! Or, well, maybe not, but it's where I always seem to end up. :) I love the Cactus Girl too; I'm so disappointed in fandom for not producing oodles of Cactus Girl fic for me.

I think this has just become part of my personal canon. Of course the Vinvocci could fix Donna's brain, of course the combination of Addams and Donna would produce amazing snark. These lines:

Addams' frown immediately switched to one of tender concern and worry. "What did you do? You didn't damage my ship, did you?"

"Thanks for your heartfelt concern for my safety," Donna muttered.

are but one example of many fabulous exchanges that not only brought a grin to my face -- no easy feat these days -- but also seems to me brilliant in how it manipulates the reader's expectations (tender concern for Donna, one thinks at first, only to be surprised). Lovely work, and I would be delighted to see more!

I became slightly obsessed with the idea of Donna and Cactus Girl after EoT, and I've been very disappointed in fandom for not providing fic for me. (WOE, fandom. Why don't you like the same things I do?)

I could spend months writing more of their epic adventures, but Donna has a wedding to get back to and I have a folder full of WIPs to complete.

Yay! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. After watching EoT, I couldn't stop thinking about how brilliantly snarky it would have been if Donna had got to meet the Cactus Girl.
