After all the sleepless nights and effort put into it, I still only managed a B in senior collection. I'm not exactly pleased, but it could always be worse. I was hoping to scrape an A. (I really do hope it wasn't the fact that I forgot to submit some small minute part of the final assignment so I submitted it late because I didn't read my emails

Congratulations on finishing one degree, Esther! How long more to the second?

On that note - I really don't get this American business of GPAs and such. Does the letter grade come with a number score? I'm trying to figure out how to fit my aussie uni percentage grades into the GPA system because I'm looking at some US postgrad schools and it's mightily confusing.

Technically speaking, 20 weeks (of pure, cruel torture to better prepare us for the reality of the fashion industry).

On grading:
A corresponds to 4.0
B corresponds to 3.0
C corresponds to 2.0

Roughly the case, some colleges factor in the pluses and the minuses, SCAD doesn't. You take the sum total and divide by the number of courses (I think I'm pretty sure on the math).

The crappy thing is that getting ONE B in a whole string of As will screw up your GPA in an instant. The system sucks.

Done? HA. I'm far from done. 20 weeks more of fashion torture to go.

I'm home for 2-ish weeks, and then I'll be in Tokyo for 2 weeks trying to enjoy myself before going back to SCAD and putting up my soul and sanity for sale.
