Shaggy, the Sсoody Doo owner starts every his speech with word 'like'. I think it's like Russian "типа".

One day I talked a lot with a lady. She is from Philippines. At the end I was like: "I am Kate. And you?". She was like: "My name is Катя". Sick! Really it's MY name. I was gobsmacked!

Can I use terms 'toy boy' and 'gold-digger' like the same?

Thank you for your course and for your friendly correction!

Thank you that you don't forget to make up sentences using new words! :-)
>Shaggy, the Sсoody Doo owner starts every his speech with word 'like'. I think it's like Russian "типа". - yes, that's correct! In linguistics, we call such words "fillers" (слово-паразит).
>Can I use terms 'toy boy' and 'gold-digger' like the same? - yes, they are synonyms. The only thing, 'gold-digger' is usually a woman, whereas "toy boy" is a man.

Hello, Alla! Thank you for lesson!
The second lesson is more difficult than the first one. There are many words that mean the things I never met in my life. Early doors for example... (It is a joke.) I think, I never met also a toy-boy. Pants! I remember now, I saw one. I knew his companion as a freemale and get-up-and-go-person, so I was gobsmacked, when I understand, that he is not her son! They were sitting under an jumbrella at the street cafe, and she asked him to go to the hole-in-the-wall, and he was like: “Who-do-you-think-you-are? Do it yourself!” She was so confused. And I was so sorry... You know, she was really a sick woman!
