I've read Guards, Guards!, Mort, Vimes-Goes-Back-In-Time, most of the Vampire one.... ugh... the Down Under one...

...I think we're talking about a different set of books. The ones I'm reading are The Tombs of Atuan, The Farthest Shore, and Tehanu, which are all part of the Earthsea Trilogy by Ursula LeGuin.

Oops... Heh. Disregard previous comment, as the author of it has now reread the post and realized that she was referring to a completely different series of books. ^_^

You see, there's this awesome author named David Eddings who wrote these books with a character named Sparrhawk or something like that... And I was reading too fast and thought your post said that and not Sparrowhawk... *facepalm*
