We finally got our fire hazard Christmas tree up after 5 days and purchasing 11 extra strands of lights (I kind of went postal on the lights this year) and much fuss and bother.

Yep, I was nervous to close my eyes that night, I was afraid to wake up and have my cat standing over me with a knife, lol. Poor thing, I wish I could blame it on the kids, but it's allll me.

It is lovely! I bet the kids had a great time. Funny that we have to have our "kids tree". That's been a necessity in my house; I'm so hard to please when it comes to ornament and light placement. So Sam & J'Neil each have their own little tree in their room. This year, though, they could have successfully decorated the family treat without me and I'd have been pleased.

I love the picture of the girls looking up toward the top of the tree.

My kids would love that--their own tree! Abby would go for the pink and white Barbie tree, for sure. I find myself rearranging the ornaments on the kids tree, too. I'm so OCD.

I'm with you on wanting someone else to decorate the tree. This year it seemed like more of an ordeal than usual.

I am meelttting from the one of Sween putting a ornament on the tree, I do miss having the children around and their brand new amazement of the lights. But I do have a husband how appreciates me work and and fat cat who lays beneath the tree....Griffin doesn't care much about my hard work.

Griffin! Just wait til he is responsible for putting up a tree all by himself (or with his wife or whatever) and then he'll appreciate the work. Sween is absolutely in constant amazement at all the decorations and the trees...it really is fun to watch her.

Yes, you definitely have it, as well. I LOVE the fire hazard tree. It is so bright and beautiful. LOVE it! And your daughters are very photogenic.

Your cat doesn't seem to be fond of the holiday attire.
