All THREE kids and I are going to the dentist. And there is only one hygienist so that means whoever isn't in the chair has to keep Camille occupied.
So far I have packed (seriously you have to consider this like a trip):
Books
Sippy
Snacks (for all three kids)
Mini Thomas game
diapers :(
scooter for older kids to ride around in the parking lot
whatever  ( Read more... )

losing my mind, kids, parenting

I wish I lived closer so I could watch the Sween for you!

Lucky! You get all week with the kids.

LOL I can't believe all the stuff you have to bring.

LOL, I know, it's ridiculous. And I used every single item and then some. Luckily the dentist hands out cookies (go figure--job security) and that helped, too. The scooter and the DVD player were the biggest hits.

Oh man, my thoughts are with you! Maybe it won't be as bad as you think. And at least you can get it all over with at once instead of having to make separate trips. I'm just really trying to look for silver linings here.

You need a nanny. lol Then you could make her take the kids to the dentist. I'm the one that takes the kiddos to the dentist and orthodontist. Of course, they behave better for me than they do for their mom, so I don't blame my boss for handing it off to me. Haha. I just took Frankie for her appointment the other day and PJ had to come with us. I shit you not, that kid sat quiet for at least 30 minutes just looking at magazine pictures and staring out the window. He knows what's up. You don't mess with me! lol

Good luck!

Obviously I don't just need a nanny, I need YOU!!!! C'mon Callie, maybe you could take classes at URI over the net!
It actually turned out ok. Alex is a great helper with Camille and the portable DVD player worked wonders.

Yeah, seperate trips are a pain in the butt, that's why we got it done in one fell swoop.

I would come nanny for you in a second, Chris, but I'd worry I'd get fired when I cussed out the kids on Thursday nights for not understanding that nothing comes before Supernatural. LOL

I'm glad it wasn't a total disaster! Portable DVD players are the best. I remember I brought mine for PJ when I drove to Florida with my boss and the kids and it came in so handy that my boss went right out and bought her own as soon as we got back. Heh.

May I please come to the dentist with you. Every time Camille cries it makes me laugh. (As long as she is not really hurt or in danger) I am a mean cousin nonetheless.

Also I'd like you to know because of Camille's safe word - "THOMAS!" Every time I'm on the 101 near Thomas Rd. I call Zach and say, "I'm on the 101 and THOMAS!"

LOL, she doesn't say "Thomas"! anymore like that. :( I don't know, maybe she'll do that at the Halloween party will all the scary costumes.

PLEASE come to the dentist with us. You would have been laughing the whole time, then. :/
