This will be a very random entry, but I haven't updated in awhile, probably because my life feels overrun by humans under 4 feet tall. My kids had all of last week off for "Fall Break" and now have the last two days as half days for parent-teacher conference. When do they ever actually go to school?? Feels like they are usually underfoot lately. ( Read more... )

Yay updated!! Lol to Alex and Abby's teacher conferences. Oh garage sales, it still hasn't hit me that you guys are going to have another baby. Are you turning the office into a baby room?

I've been looking more at online Harry Potter stuff with all my free time at work and I must agree with you about the Goblet of Fire clips, enough. Also, what is with the ships? Are those just the fiction stories that people write about Harry Potter characters?

Yes, and that is a whole entire universe unto itself. Short for relation"ships", you usually see which ship an author is writing about posted at the top of the story. There is a very uneasy alliance between the people that think Hermione and Harry should end up together versus those who believe in Ron and Hermione. There is actually open hostility based on these views. Harry and his world never cease to amaze.

I see...now I understand why they're called ships. So where do you stand on the Ron/Harry debate? It's funny the pairings people come up with, like all the stuff with Malfoy and Harry. lol

You would not believe the pairings people put together. There's Dumbledore/Harry, Giant Squid/Ron, anything you can imagine. People get bored waiting for the books to get published, obviously. I think just about every friend on my flist is a HP fanfic author.
I personally don't like Ron, never really have, particularly after watching numerous Rupert Grint interviews online lately and he is kind of a dull person. Maybe that makes him a better actor, I don't know. Plus, of course, I can totally seperate real people from the character they portray. *cough*. I am partial to Hermione and Harry. And Draco and Ginny, LOL.
