I ended up working briefly with an adorable and cooky old man who'd just retired from 37 years of community service. my year was almost up, i started going on some pretty cool job interviews. one day he said "do you trust me?" i laughed and said, sure i do. and he asked for my resume. turns out he was also the namesake of a shelter for homeless men and women. i had an interview with the board of directors before i really even knew what it was for. and we were equally impressed with each other. and i guess i figured what the hell?

having said that, i love what i do. it's so fucking hard it's nearly impossible. and i love it.
