game one notes: scorpions lose 9-3. lots of men left on base, strikeouts galore, and successful pickoffs at every turn. at least large went 2 innings with no runs scored and wagner caught ( Read more... )

sigh. . .i know. i couldn't even take selfish comfort in the fact that i was once again able to walk downtown and pay $7 to see him pitch again. hopefully he will do well in the afl and build his confidence back up so he does well on whichever team he lands on come the regular season.

That first at-bat by Reddick seemed good. What was it, nine pitches or something? And he took a bunch of balls...

yeah, i was pleased to see him taking balls. it seemed like today he was more settled. and kick ass! and hopefully that is just the beginning of things to come. . .*heart*

i have come to hate the little ghostly batter on gameday, for reals, no matter who it is supposed to be representing.

I didn't actually get to "see" the game today. A home run is a good sign, though.

Me too. It was amusing the first time it was in the place of Prince Fielder, but now, I just want it to go away.
