I didn't realize you were hanging out at the kinkmeme too :D

And LOL. Sculptures? In butter? Seriously?

Oh, yes. I'm no good at writing the kink, but there are a couple of gen prompts floating around, or just sweet romantic things with no porn.

Seriously, sculptures in butter. I put the links because like I said in the A/N, the crackiest parts are true. ;)

Thanks for reading! :D :D

See, I was just having lots of fun with kink, as you do when you're trying to avoid writing your MA thesis. *cough* And they were short, one-night-of-writing things... and then this happened. *facepalm* 28 parts and counting, what's that between friends?

Dang. I am mad jealous--28 parts? Go you! This is where I sort of wish I had a pair of slash goggles. Although, who am I kidding, I'd still write short pieces, but at least the number of prompts I could look at would increase exponentially.

I couldn't resist. Honestly. I just about died from all of this. I am from Iowa-see the name, though I really don't live there right now, LOL, and have been to the IA state fair once. Last summer. (I'm originally from WI, but the part of the state I lived in means I went to the MN state fair more. Explain THAT!) And yes, sculptures in butter. I didn't see it myself, but have seen it plenty. I just, yeah, could go on and on. TOO CUTE!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it. It was so fun to write. I'm not originally from Iowa myself, but I live here now and wow. The State Fair is serious business. And the butter sculptures--well, there was lots of voting on whether a butter Michael Jackson should be allowed. So yeah.

Anyway, thanks again! :D :D

The State Fair IS serious business. Not being a native, I don't quite get it, either. And I voted no for MJ. Considering Kirk is born and or at least raised in IA, depending on what universe you love, it's natural that Kirk would know so much about it!

It's a two hour drive now from Riverside to Des Moines, and I guess they'd have faster transport in the future, but you know getting ready to go to the State Fair was a big deal on the Kirk farm (was it a farm? There should be a farm).

OMG I want to see fic where Kirk wins blue ribbons for produce. I don't even care that that doesn't make sense. I will LOL.

lololol YES. I love this so much. Chekov getting lost/found is precious.

My brother tells me this year we're going to have a butter Michael Jackson. IDEK.

Every year I do the same thing for food -- a giant tenderloin that I can't finish.

Well thanks, now I'm excited for the fair. XD

Chekov getting lost/found is precious.

I may have to elaborate on that--I kind of want Sulu to be all, "Pasha? Pasha, don't be scared. Daddy will find you" on the intercom. Maybe that's funnier in my head.

We're not getting the Michael Jackson! :( People voted and they found it offensive, so we're getting something to do with the moon landing. I don't know if they mean Neil Armstrong or what.

I'm pretty excited for the fair, too. :D I love all the food on a stick.

Being from Illinois, I totally understand the brilliance of being immortalized in butter.

Thanks for this, I am so going to see when the IL State Fair is running this year!!!

I am so glad that you gave them unlimited rides, anything less is just uncivilized.

Thank you! I'm so glad that you liked it!

I think a lot of people forget that Kirk is from small town Iowa. Being the youngest captain in Starfleet history is pretty sweet, but the butter cow lady made a butter sculpture of him. He's made it. ;)

Oh, of course, unlimited. What's even the point otherwise? ;)

Oh, God. The bridge crew practicing the Spock eyebrow, Jim stealing Bones' "I'm a doctor" line, the mother-henning them all on to the platform and checking his bag, and last but not least, Jim eating the galaxy, fried, on a stick. YES.

And butter cows invented in Russia. Of COURSE.

I love fun-loving mama-hen Kirk more than all of his various iterations in this fandom, I think, and this is brilliant. Truly-- it's like butter. (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

Thank you so much! I'm so glad that those little details worked for you--it was so much fun to write. You're right, fun-loving mama-hen Kirk is the very best. I'm so glad that you liked this! :D :D
