Kat told herself that she would call her brother after having a late lunch, but lunch quickly came and went and she didn’t make the phone call. For every hour or two that went by she vowed that she would make the call at the beginning of the next hour, but as soon as Kat became distracted she forgot all about it

Sorry it took me so long to comment this chapter! It was so bloody AWESOME!!!!! Seriously, the conversation between Kat and Patrick left me wishing at the end she had called him 'Pat-Dick', he deserved it XDDD

What I like about this so far is I was finally able to incorporate a few lines that I have been wanting to for a while:

"[...] I chose you because I know you."

We won't be seeing or hearing too much of Patrick, but we will be seeing him around in at least one future chapter.

I have a general idea how this chapter will wrap up so it is mostly the middle section that needs to be sorted out.
