Oh, I've seen the show; I just didn't know a new book had been written. Or that they were still being written.

And LAME for not putting comments on your most recent post, BUT I have to say, I was reading an article about Hermione and why JKR didn't put her with Harry, and a big reason was that she didn't want her to be 'the girl who's there for the main character to end up with.' Which I really respect.

And Haruhi is so, so odd. At least with the Boogiepop novels, or even Spice & Wolf or Kino's Journey, you felt like things were happening in a real world. Haruhi CLEARLY takes place in Animeland, and it's a weird, weird place to be setting prose. Some things that play out "normally" as visual gags just come across creepy as all get-out in writing.
