"Thats the problems with democrats. they dont stand for anything they just do what is popular which is not necessarily the best thing always."
This a message I received on FaceBook from a Republican acquaintance of mine who's in Greece for the summer. She lived on the floor below me in my dorm ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure it'll be just awesome, if not more!

...assuming that no more ridiculous drama like yesterday's fiasco occurs.

I'm against all forms of abortion (unless carrying the baby can seriously injure the mother or unless the mother was a rape victim and became pregnant that way)

I never realized how conservative you were. I’m totally going to have to defriend you now ;-P Srsly, I can’t believe she couldn’t handle the fact that you - *gasp* - might actually have differing political views.

And I think you need to make me some plans for the summer because yours sound pretty good :-) I hope Stats and A&P work out for you. I know I liked summer classes a lot better than those during the year, if for no other reason than just being able to focus on the same subject everyday instead of trying to juggle around a bunch of stuff.

I've gone back and forth on the whole abortion thing quite a bit, but honestly, that's about as conservative as I get. I'd still love to see the day when universal health care actually appears in our country.

I swear, it's like she's never met anyone who wasn't exactly like her every way, shape, and form. Ugh.

Lol I'd be glad to make you some summer plans! It'd give me something productive to do with my gratuitous amounts of free time since I'm still unemployed and my summer term hasn't started yet, haha. And thanks! Stats NEEDS to work out for me. I've lost all faith in my mathematical abilities thanks to Calc :(

How's that going for you so far? I like to think that I was more than competent at biology back in high school, so I'm assuming - hoping - that A&P won't be a killer.

... o.O

I seriously cannot believe she would just defriend you like that. I mean, for crying out loud! Heaven forbid you - or anyone else - have a differing opinion/view to her. She does realise that not everyone she comes across with is going to agree with her, right? If not, then she's in for a rude awakening, and it's a pity you won't be around in her life to witness her get a verbal smackdown from someone who is more intelligent than her.

LOL at what you wrote back, though! YEAH! XD

You know, I never knew you were against abortion. And I never knew you were for captial punishment and waterboarding. Interesting.

Good luck with Stats and Anatomy and Physiology (that's what crowsfly is taking at the moment!). I personally hated stats, and barely managed to pass the class. I hope you do better than I did :D

Honestly, she is, by far, one of THE most ridiculous people I've ever met in my life. And believe me, I've encountered some pretty ridiculous people in my nineteen years, lol.

Abortion is an iffy topic for me. I've gone back and forth on the issue millions of times. At the current moment, I don't support it, but I'm not going to condemn people who do like a lot of uber conservatives tend to do. It's just that there are bigger issues out there that I think our country needs to focus on first. The problem with the U.S. is that sometimes we don't know how to prioritize. Everyone here is flipping out over gay marriage. Instead of worrying about how we're going to save our dying economy, we'd rather bitch and moan that marriage is only between a man and a woman. Which is bullshit. I support gay marriage. It's wrong that they can't get the same benefits as heterosexual married couples.

...[/random as hell rant, lol. Sorry about that ^.^;]

I personally hated stats, and barely managed to pass the class. Were you more of a calculus person? I ( ... )
