Sooooo. I'm back. Remember my last entry and those vows I made?

I'm going away this week for UF orientation, where I'll (finally) get to choose and schedule my classes. And I vow to never have a class any earlier than 10AM if I can help it. And I vow to not have a single class on a Friday. And I vow to pretty much ignore my mom's course " ( Read more... )

Yes, ma'am. 18 credits isn't SO bad...erm. Yeah. Scholarships are tricky bastards. If I don't take this course load I don't get a free ride. And the free ride is what brought me here, damnit. I guess I'll be dead this semester. Well, now you'll know why.

kevin & my wall-to-wall...

kevin says:
'blah blah blah...the only thing that sucks is that i'm taking a huge course load, and i mean HUGE, so if i die next semester, you know why."

*blinks rapidly* Nope. That utterly insane class time is still there. Well, one problem I had freshman year was registering after everyone else that there’s almost no choice but to have all the 8 am classes that I totally slept through or skipped in favor of breakfast or, on rare occasions, actually went to, hair uncombed and in my jimmies.

Mebbe you'll have better luck, but I’m sure you could make it work even if you can’t change it. And like you said, finishing way early is a plus. Are you indeed addicted to daytime dramah?

Even with as many credits as you’ve got, there’s still enough Gen Ed or overlapping courses between Health Sciences and Chem that it’s not of much importance until later what you actually declare, right?

I’m sure your advisor will learn soon enough that you’re no mere freshman but a lean mean academic machine. Or something less hokey sounding.

I’m glad you’re excited :-D Oh and

Yay, nerdlove! is the best kind of love there is, methinks.

Yeah, you have a point Why aren't you my academic advisor?. I just hate being indecisive. Being indecisive is probably my greatest character flaw. Usually when I'm indecisive, I stay that way for a long time, depending on the topic. And I hate not knowing what to do! Clearly I need some psychological help for this indecisiveness I have, lol.

It's not an addiction!...it's a need. I need my soap operas like fish need water. It's a little scary sometimes, but they're so much fun to watch. I've even taken to watching novellas (even though I can't understand them, lol).

They should totally pay me to do that :-D I understand where you’re coming from though. Anytime something’s up in the air it’s uncomfortable.

Not to mention, it doesn’t help that “What’s your major?” is probably the most frequent question posed to anyone who’s in college or is college-bound. I chose Biology initially for no other reason than to have something to say when people asked me.

And shhhhh... Don't tell anyone, but I'm probably far too fond of The Young and the Restless.

Uni is the bomb, the speeding bus, and Keanu Reeves with the military haircut =D
Your courseload sounds insane. Good luck with that...

People keep telling me that (about uni being the bomb and my course load being insane). And both are true. Honestly, the things I do for free money...killing myself first semester simply because it's free. But I'll admit, I like the freedom wayyy to much to just give up.

Free + Busting Ass vs £10,000+ in loans?

Give me the books. No, really. Who needs sleep? Who needs a social life? That's what caffiene and the internet are for, duh.
It's a sad thing that you can't get scholarships to Uni in good-ol' England (not that I would anyway, because I R teh slacker, but still. It's the principal of it.)
