:D YAY! Well, I was thinking about that review of yours for ages and I actually wanted to expand it from Jim's POV but Bones spoke to me first... and here it is. >_>

:) And I'm planning on reading your new one. I was excited to see a fresh post. :D! No worries about finishing one for me. ;) I'm just happy to see any story up from you. :D

:) So glad you liked it. And I had no idea why Jim would get the captaincy. If anything, his actions in the movie only further proved that he had no idea how to work in a desperate situation. I think if he at least showed that he could be a mature, responsible leader then they would promote him on principle.

I love writing McCoy's POV. Initially, I was terrified of it. These days, I can't get away from it. As for a companion piece, I have scraps written (when I was initially headbutting this idea into oblivion) from Jim's POV. This is also an expansion of a scene from my story "Five to One" which has Jim's view of what happened. Who knows? Anything's possible.

I enjoyed reading this very much! And here's a comment that you probably don't get as often: What excellent use of profanity. Seriously. There are a lot of fics out there where the potty mouth runeth over. (Yawn!) But let's face it, there are real life situations where no other words will suffice. Your story here is believable and the dialogue (swears included) fits well with the characters you envisioned. Well done!

*To Do List: must watch The Reboot again soon*

:D Glad you enjoyed it. And I very rarely ever get complimented on my use of profanity (except maybe by my best friend when we're driving down the interstate though I'm not sure if it's a compliment when he says, "I haven't heard that word used so creatively since Boondocks Saints.") so I will take it and run with it. :) Thank you.

And that was on my To Do List as well... until this afternoon when I polluted my young cousin with his first viewing. :D
