Fic: A Matter of Time

                She has put up the last dishes and has set the overnight bread in the already cooling oven when a light, almost tentative, knock causes her to jump. Were it  loud or familiar she would not have started so for she knows the sound of Mister Holmes and Doctor Watson’s knuckles against her door almost as well as she knows their voices.

*squeak* Durn it. I was always the kid that accidentally de-gilled the fish while trying to get it off the hook and safely back into the water.

Oh you have me on the edge of my seat here. I love this story. Please write more soon. Poor Mrs Hudson, i can really feel her pain over Watson's obvious distress. But what of Holmes? I am biting my nails now! Please write more soon, am really enjoying this.
