For the love of all that is lj-cuts!!!!

So, I've been doing some practice with cuts, and I have no idea why they don't work for meeeee!!! *pouts*

I'm writing them like this: [lj-cut text="read here"]Text that refuses to hide [/lj-cut]except with '<' instead of '[', and it's not working! *wails*

can anyone help me? I was using the LJ FAQ section, but apparently that lies.

no, i was just writing straight into LJ.

I tried it in both rich text and html, and neither worked.

should there be a space between 'cut' and 'text'?

Do you have the HTML tab selected, or the Rich Text tab?

If it's Rich Text, I think you just click the LJ cut button at the top...you only use the html stuff if, well, if you're on the HTML tab...
