It could have been way better. I really was disappointed in it. As someone who read the book I'd give it a C+ or B-. It didn't make me cry. Enough said.
I thought the movie was really good although I was disappointed in the ending...err where was the fight scence and Bill, wasn't he supposed to be in it somewhere???
But I find that with any movie based on a book - don't expect it to be anything like the book - movies are adaptations of the book and therefor the director is allowed to interpret it which ever way he sees fit.
If we got our way the movie would have lasted hours and hours how fun would it be if every detail in the book had been covered ^_^
