Oooooo lordy, that's nice. The images have seared themselves into my brain. I love how Elijah is so duplicitous, and how Joshua seems to be aware but doesn't really care, all those layers. Mmm.

The twisty thing is that this Elijah really is smitten with Josh, but I don't think he could relate to anyone in a straightforward manner if his life depended on it.

Wow. So complicated, I love it! It's a very real look at humanity; how they both want each other but also want for themselves first and foremost, and how society's expectations and social conscience weigh in to make up the balance. All of those emotions! So delicious! I can't wait to read more of this.
