if only that were TRUELY and TOTALLY and ALWAYS possible... but i dont think it is. when we choose a mate, we are on the look out for an individual who represents the ideal of HEALTH to us. we have been trained to believe that a certain look represents health - big breasts, long hair, smooth skin, low fat, bulging biceps, chiselled jaw, (whatever your preference might be) etc. we want to pass on good genes to our children.

and this subconsciously translates into how we choose our workers, friends, maybe even LJ buddies!

its when we make it conscious and choose people not simply based on looks or a certain type that fits our ideals that we transcend our genetic programming.

now. how many people are aware of this and do it?

but to reiterate, one of the the points of this post is the pretentiousness of Dove and their trying to convince us that they are trying to do this, when actually they aren't totally.
