But Kyuhyun pushes the hair back from Ryeowook's forehead and drops a kiss onto it, smiling sweetly like it was all he ever did in life.
"I don't want you hurt," Kyuhyun murmurs softly, tangling their hands together, and Ryeowook looks away, blinking away the tears.
"You're ridiculous, I'm going to have to go soon." But Kyuhyun smiles again, lets it linger a bit longer than the last.
"I know, but I can at least pretend, you know? Maybe one day."
