If Tumblr is anything to go by, folks sure love Karl Urban in eye liner and leather. ::grins:: Amazing number of reviewers think that was his usual Aussie accent -- others say it was a Cockney accent. Didn't sound like how he does in interviews but my ear isn't good enough to differentiate between Aussie and Cockney ( ... )

I've never seen Minka in anything else either, so I'm not really qualified to talk about her usual style, but I was thinking that it would probably be pretty difficult to turn in a killer performance with the kind of foundation Stahl's been given as a character. I know we've seen little snippets of her backstory, but nothing's really been explored, and there's not much for Minka to build a performance on IMO. It's a shame, because Stahl could be a really valuable member of the team and has the potential for some interesting storylines, and I totally agree with you about the positive aspects of her character that we've seen so far. I hope she is developed further if we get a renewal (oh pleeeeeeeeeease!), and that we get a chance to see what Minka can do with her.

Totally agree about Michael Ealy as well - his portrayal of Dorian blows me away every week. I am a little bit in love with that android, and that's entirely Ealy's doing! :)

Lol, about Ealy, yeah, I'm old enough to be his mother but the right brain just loves who it loves. I've been to see About Last Night and just ordered Common Law (his previous series that I didn't see) just to see more of his work! ('His work' sounds so much classier than say, 'just to drool over his gorgeous manliness') ::grins::

I loved Common Law but I first noticed Michael in Sleeper Cell, he was great in that.

I think he's wormed his way into my subconcious as I had a vivid dream about him the other night! lol

For those who are interested, there's a new poll to 'save one show'. So far, Almost Human is a distant third. Don't know if voting helps but scoring high might flag attention at FOX so probably can't hurt. Thanks for the link! I voted and it seems we are at 8.88% still in third place. The poll is going until tomorrow hopefully more AH people will vote.

Just checked the site and it wouldn't load. Lol, maybe so many were voting that it broke the webpage!

I just checked the website again and we made it through around one. Which is awesome! They have started around two and unfortunately we are at 3% and we are tied for sixth place. Which is not good.

Hopefully soon more Almost Human fans will start voting soon or we won't make it to the next round. If we can make it to the final-round maybe that will show "The Powers That Be" they should renew this show for another season.

:)

I liked the concept of the show this week, exploring the "smart houses" that are controlled by computers. These kinds of houses exist right now, albeit at a much simpler level. Still...what would happen if someone hacked your system? How much control do we want to turn over to computers? It's a cautionary tale for sure.

I loved this ep..in fact I think the last three eps have had that extra something special. Maybe everything's now coming together as we get to the end of the season. Boy do I want another season. I feel the show has so much more to give us.

I loved John undercover...and that was a very forced cockney accent there I reckon XD

Looks like the smart house getting hacked is very topical as I saw something in the news about the security risks of today's smart houses. I'm glad my house is stupid then. XD

On a related subject, I've just been watching Common Law, in which Michael Irby played Michael Ealy's foster brother who 'went bad' so Ealy had to catch him. Lol, bet these guys have fun in Almost Human with Irby taking shots at Ealy and Ealy pretending to slug him. I'm impressed with both of them. Excellent acting.

I hadn't noticed that, well spotted. :) I loved Common Law, but it's a while since I watched it. I thought Richard Paul looked familiar - I should have looked him up. :D

Yeah, and the guy who played that big bad robot in The Bends was the bad guy in the last Common Law ep. He makes a very good bad guy, someone we can love to hate!
