Inspired by quite a few hours of jigsaw-puzzling on my and John's part lately -- they feed my need to be compulsively patternmatchy about something, they give us social couple-time, and we both know that as soon as Beka's old enough to grab things and stick them in her mouth, we won't get a chance to do one for years

I love it! May I share it with my parents, also puzzle nuts? (Me, not so much. I get OCD and completion compulsive and don't sleep.)

one solution you might consider =) - the magnetic puzzles that are out there, I have one on my fridge right now with frogs -got it from Borders iirc.

Well, yes, but (a) it's not tactile, which is a significant part of the attraction of the original, and (b) we can't leave them spread out on the dining table for days as a social focal point, picking away at bits of it as we feel inspired.
