Fortunately my doc and the folk at the local hospital are *excellent*.

""there are violins in the soundtrack of a film and they just, well, like, y'know, move you": It's funny, since I've been affected by CFS, I've been like that.

To echo the rest of your post, yep, your ailment, my ailment, are all just some of the many things which are dumped on the "psychological" scrap heap.

They didn't even try any other treatment with me, because there just isn't for CFS, and packed me straight off to a cognetive behavioural therapist. Which I did with a smile on my face because I was just so up for doing anything that could help me. In hindsight, it was just ridiculous.

I wish I was very rich, then I could emigrate to somewhere that has a sane health service. I wish I was even richer then, so I could take all my ill friends with me too :)

Well, if our Health Service wasn't wasting... are you sitting down?... £1.4bn per year on operations that they are paying private health care providers to do but aren't sending patients along for, then there might actually be money to hire enough staff to actually treat illnesses and not just dispense pills and therapies that mask symptoms.

(BBC News today. NHS paying private health care for up to 50,000 operation 'slots' that are not being used. And they are contracted to do this for the next five years. Joined up government? My arse)

Hi there,
I was searching for others with andropause and found you.
I'm having the worst hot flashes! Yeash.

I read your post here and agree whole heartedly. Too few men know about this condition.

Hallo grimmbear, welcome aboard.

Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to reply. For once my meds have been *working* and I've been off out doing stuff :)
