So, hey, I got to see Patrick Stump last night at Martini Ranch in Scottsdale. Can we say "yay?" Yay! I headed over to the venue pretty much right after work, but the crowd was varied enough that I didn't feel excessively out of place in my work clothes. There was a good line when I got there, especially considering that it was a Tuesday night and ( Read more... )

Yay, I always wanted to be a journalist!

I have, actually lost weight. Also, I was wearing an awesome dress, so. :D

<33333 I miss you, too! I hate being online so little and missing so much! My socail interaction is chopped way, way down, and people I know IRL are not nealry as much fun as you are.

It's such a small club that having a good view isn't a great accomplishment, but I was very pleased. He was so good, and I'm so glad to have pictures with which to remember the show. <3

I'd totally buy you as a music journalist! And yeah, Patrick doing covers is pretty much ridiculously endearing. Then again, I'm a sucker for covers, and may be biased. I just think you can tell so much about an artist by what they love and how they make it their own and my GOD did I just sound pretentious or WHAT? Sorry. Sounds like a great show!

Hehehe, I totally want to pose as a music journalist now. Con my way into some interviews. :D

I love covers. I have a hard time defining why, but I agree that your reason is at least part of it. It's a glimpse into what that musician loves, which is a cool mix of personal and public.

If you can manage to pull it off enough to get an actual interview, I will bow before you like a god. Or, um, something less creepy.

And yeah, covers are awesome--I think another part of it that makes me so happy is when it's something unexpected, or very different from the artist's own style.
