i've been kind of stressing about the price of air tickets to SF

prices have been falling, but only on routing through LA... and for a variety of reasons we really wanted to fly direct.

yesterday, i could book AKL - SFO for NZ$1100 per person (and the same price for SFO - AKL) on AirNZ

Huh. I can't seem to find anything even close, best I've seen was around 900. You getting these off their websites or through some other outfit? If I can find 'em in that range, it's becoming awful tempting to run the fam over. Particularly because it's my grandfathers 93rd bday on 2 June...

i got it straight off of AirNZ.co.nz
it probably has something to do with the dates... just doing some quick poking around, it looks like the cheap flights start July 14

Ahh, ok, that explains it. I was only poking dates between May and June. Will experiment some more, thanks for the heads up.

Yay!!! Thanks for commenting on FB or it might have been a while before I saw this (sadly, my LJ has dwindled). We would LOVE to see you. And since you know about the sleeper sofa, you even have a a backup place for a night or two.
