There's no overall strongest and even things that seem useless can be strong or useful in some way. I think Schuldig wants Psychic type, so if you pair with him...try Bug or Dark types to cover what Psychics are weak to.

There are a lot of types. I don't know the exact number offhand, but each has strengths and weaknesses. Most of mine are Water, for example.
