I am the luckiest boy in the entire world.
I have fans that adore me, band mates that I would die for, a loving and supporting family, and on top of everything, I am dating Jack Bassam Barakat. We had been friends since we were freshmen in high school and we have been dating for one year, today. It took us 8 years to get our heads out of our asses and realize how much we wanted to be together. I am so thankful for the day Jack told me how he felt about me because I doubt I would have ever been able to get up the courage to tell him. Ever since that day, we have both been happier than we could ever remember being and as much as it scares me to say out loud, we are perfect. We rarely ever fight and if we do, we are freaking out and apologizing a second later. We just love each other too much and the fight never seems worth it.
Today is December 20th and Jack is taking me on a trip to the mountains for our anniversary. I am so excited to get some alone time with him because as much as I love having Rian as a roommate, I enjoy some privacy with my sexy ass boyfriend from time to time. I was waiting in the car for Jack as he loaded up our luggage and made his way to the front seat.
“Well hey there, sexy.” I said to him with a wink. He smiled and moved over to press a kiss to my lips and looked me in the eyes before saying, “Happy anniversary, beautiful.” It was amazing to me that someone I had known for so long could still manage to make me blush and give me butterflies.
We drove for about an hour before arriving at a breath-taking cabin on top of a snow covered mountain. It was absolutely huge and had a wrap around balcony around the top floor with a view that looked like a painting. It didn’t even seem possible that a place so beautiful existed. We took our bags up the stairs leading to the front door and the inside of the house was just as amazing as the outside. It was decorated beautifully and even though it was gigantic, it somehow felt cozy.
“Baby…this place is amazing.” I told my perfect boyfriend. He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and started peppering my neck with kisses. “Mmm I’m glad you like it babe.” He whispered to me and sure enough my jeans were starting to tighten. We were falling all over the mountain and somehow always ended up rolling around in the snow together, laughing and kissing. We were in our own little world and it was so perfect.
We walked back to Jack’s car, holding hands and laughing about our stupidity and lack of skiing ability. We drove back to the cabin and peeled off all of our wet clothes. I went to put our wet clothes in the dryer and when I came back out, I couldn’t find Jack anywhere. I went back upstairs and opened the door to the master bedroom to see rose petals everywhere and candles covering the room. I still hadn’t seen Jack but he caught my attention by clearing his throat and I looked down to see him on one knee in front of me.

“Yes!” I cut him off, clearly taking him off guard.

“Alexander Gaskarth…You have been the love of my life since I was fourteen years old. The day I admitted my feelings for you and you told me you felt the same way was the best day of my entire life and every day since I have just fallen deeper in love with you. I couldn’t even believe this was happening to me. I never understood why people got so worked up in movies during proposals and yet here I was, practically coming apart at the seams. I just couldn’t believe someone so perfect wanted me and they wanted me forever.

He put me down and pulled my face towards his and kissed me passionately. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a little black velvet box and opened it. There was a gorgeous white gold band inside it with our initials carved on the inside. “Want your anniversary present now?” Jack asked as he kissed the top of my head.
I turned around to look at him with a raised eyebrow. “What? Jack…you already took me skiing, asked me to marry you and gave me the best sex of my life…what else could there possibly be?”
He smiled and responded, “The sex was a present for both of us and you agreeing to marry me was a present you gave to me…I still need to give you something. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t get you something for our anniversary?”

I rolled my eyes and smiled back at him before closing my eyes and offering him my hands. I felt something drop into my hand that felt like some type of small, metal object.

I opened them to see a golden key in my hand.
“W-What is this?” I asked with curiosity as I looked into his perfect brown eyes.
“It’s the key to this house. I bought it about a month ago. I am sick of being so far from you in LA and missing you every day that we’re apart . I know you love living with Rian but I was thinking maybe you would move in here with me? I want us to start being a family, baby.” He spoke to me so sweetly and brushed the hair out of my eyes.
